The Senior Vice President, Business Development is responsible for establishing Applied Health Analytics’ overall sales strategy and plan for high growth. The candidate will serve as the face of the company to new markets interested in population health management within the commercial market and will be responsible for attracting and developing a best-in-class sales management team. The position reports to the CEO.

Thorough understanding of current health policy and its impact on employers, benefit consultants and brokers, workforce and health system’s movement from fee-for-service to value-based care.
Experience with health system population health strategies.
Understands the consultative nature in business development
Ability to anticipate needs of health system clients and to craft business development approach and product offerings to meet those needs.
Able to build close, productive relationships with internal partners such as operations, consulting, client services and account management.
Excellent negotiation and consultation skills including ability to source and close sales.
Comfortable working with health system executive leadership.
10+ years of experience in closing sales required.
Bachelor’s Degree is required.
Exceptional communication skills including written, verbal and presentation skills.
Ability to manage inter-company relationships and appropriately influence others in a client-responsive manner.
Computer skills including knowledge of MS-Word, Excel, PowerPoint and MS-Outlook as wells a CRM and database tools.

The Full-stack Developer must have knowledge of all stages of software development and be comfortable working in large, legacy code bases. Robert directs company vision, and leads strategic partnerships and investor relations. He is a veteran executive and noted entrepreneur with over 30 years of experience working with employers and health systems across the United States. Robert is a frequent speaker on entrepreneurialism and successful payer-provider partnerships and has authored numerous articles which have appeared in such publications as The Tennessean, Healthcare Financial Management Magazine, Benefits & Compensation Digest, Health Management Technology and Modern Healthcare. Nashville Business Journal named him a 2017 and 2014 Healthcare Hero, and Applied Health Analytics one of 2014’s 30 fastest growing small businesses. The company was also selected as a 2017 20 Most Promising Data Analytics Solution Provider by CIOReview and named a finalist for the Nashville Area Chamber of Commerce and Entrepreneurial Center’s 2014 NEXT Awards, which celebrates excellence in business and entrepreneurship.

Nathan leads IT research and strategy, and oversees and mentors an interdisciplinary technology team responsible for research, product innovation and business analytics. He has nearly 10 years of experience in SAAS development, and building and supporting CMS and enterprise DAM systems. Nathan earned a Bachelor of Science in computer science from Bryan College, located in Dayton, Tennessee.
Chief Information Officer
Eliot leads the vision and strategy for the development of Applied Health Analytics' proprietary software programs, Internet applications and information systems. He has more than 20 years of experience and served as president of eSolvenet, an information consulting and IT-development firm whose clients included Vanderbilt University, Caterpillar Financial and Onsiteview.com prior to founding Applied Health Analytics. Eliot earned his bachelor's degree from Vanderbilt University.
Senior Vice President, Market Operations
Gene leads interim management and in-market strategy, working directly with health system executives, business development, marketing teams and clinicians to grow, streamline and increase the value of their commercial market business. He consults in onsite clinic development and assesses system service-line alignment. Gene directs employer-targeted sales training and interim- business development support.
Gene previously served as director, corporate health at Floyd Medical Center, located in Rome, Georgia where he overhauled its corporate health offerings to include three new products and increased the medical center's corporate client base by 55 employers and quadrupled revenue garnered through its corporate program. Prior to Floyd Medical Center, Gene was the managing director of business development at an Ascension Health subsidiary. An athletic trainer for numerous organizations, including the Atlanta Braves and the PGA TOUR, he received a bachelor's degree from the University Tennessee, Knoxville and is a certified athletic trainer. Gene is a member of the National Athletic Trainers Association, the Association of Professional Ball Players of America, the Tennessee Athletic Trainers Society and the Middle Tennessee Society of Human Resources. He is also an alumna of Leadership Rome, Georgia.
Senior Vice President, Business Development
Mike is responsible for the growth and development initiatives at Applied Health Analytics, LLC, where he brings more than 25 years of health care experience working with hospital systems and self-funded employers. Mike is the Founder of UpShot Health Care, LLC, a work-site health clinic and population-health management company that focuses on connecting self-funded employers with the local provider community to deliver value-based health care programs to commercial patient populations. He continues to work with providers across the country on their commercial market strategies in his expanded role with Applied Health Analytics. Mike has held leadership positions at CIGNA Health, HealthSmart Holdings, and Bravo Wellness. His background includes leading clinical and business teams in the medical, pharmacy and health analytics fields. Mike is experienced in provider-employer contracting strategies, PBM operations, channel business development, digital health technology, and population-health management analytics.
A faculty member for the World Health Care Congress (WHC) and co-author of the WHC whitepaper, "Rewarding Healthy Behaviors," Mike is a national speaker on topics including value-based insurance design, Rx transparency pricing strategies, and employer-ACO health initiatives. He serves on the North Coast Health's Board of Directors, and earned a bachelor's degree in business management from Ohio University.
Senior Vice President, Product Strategy & Training
Bill serves as product owner for new technologies and is responsible for client training and product education. He supports business development and serves as the primary, end-user technology consultant for the consulting team. Bill partners with software development leadership to serve as the principal contact for business intelligence and user-experience for all technology. Bill has more than 17 years of experience in training, leadership development, succession planning and organizational culture for health and wellness, educational and business organizations. He earned a bachelor's degree in psychology and theology from Palm Beach Atlantic College. Bill served as a leadership development consultant Lipscomb University, Tennessee Diversity Consortium, Goodlettsville Chamber of Commerce and the YMCAs of Zambia and Durban, South Africa.
Chief of Staff & Executive Vice President, Communications
Holley drives strategic initiatives and directs communications. Prior to Applied Health Analytics, Holley spent 15 years in communications, strategy, public affairs and advocacy for agencies and Fortune 500 companies. She sits on the Boards of Directors for Leadership Health Care and Dismas Inc. Holley previously served as Accreditation in Public Relations Chairperson for the Public Relations Society of America (PRSA) – Nashville Chapter, Education Report Card Committee for the Nashville Area Chamber of Commerce and the Regional Leadership Council for the American Lung Association of Middle Tennessee. Named a 2012 finalist for the Nashville Emerging Leader Award, Holley is the recipient of the Nashville Chamber of Commerce's Spirit Award and a PRSA Silver Anvil Award for Integrated Marketing. She earned a bachelor of English and English Literature from Washington University in St. Louis and an Accreditation in Public Relations (APR). She is a 2019 candidate for a master of management of health care from Lipscomb University.
